Hello 🙂
I wanted to kind of update the blog in case any of my family or friends, or whomever might’ve heard or seen that I recently went to the ER a week ago and may now find themselves concerned.
The bottom line is that I’ve always had serious complications with stomach issues, dating all the way back to infancy. However I’ve always sort of felt like it wasn’t worth investigating or treating any further.
Unfortunately over the last couple of months I’ve been experiencing some moderate to severe health concerns with areas surrounding my digestion, skin, energy levels, appetite, nausea, sleeping, using the bathroom, etc., .
It had gotten the point of discomfort last week, where I had to leave work and go to KVHC. It was only moments after being seen at KVHC, before I was recommended to be taken by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center. I said no to avoid the possibility of alarming myself and was fortunately able to find another ride to the ER.
I did some cat scans to make sure my appendix hadn’t ruptured. It didn’t, thankfully.
After giving bloodwork and talking to the doctors, I was recommended some medication and was instructed to rest for a few days.
2 days later, my primary care doctor called and informed me of anemia found in the red cells of my blood work. I now have to start going monthly to give more samples in order to determine the proper diagnosis.
She believes it’s an Autoimmune disorder that’s causing the anemia and is concerned it might be Celiac disease since I was never tested for it before and am showing symptoms of it being untreated.
For now that’s all I really know until I can get more blood tests done in the coming month. Until then, Ill have to just continue to try and make the necessary adjustments within my lifestyle choices, diet, etc,. where I see fit.
♥️ 🖤
